AGARTALA | November 17, 2018:

Opposition CPI(M) today held a rally protesting the alleged attacks by the ruling BJP activists since past few weeks.

Addressing the media, CPI(M) leader Pabitra Kar said, “yesterday the party leaders and supporters were attacked by the BJP activists while they were returning back from a meeting which was held at Bishalghar at 2.00pm”.

Stating that democracy is being destroyed in the state, the CPI(M) leader said “We condemn the attacks and this rally we have been organised is in protest of the attacks” while questioning the state of affairs in Tripura where the opposition leader can’t attend a meeting with their party workers without being attacked.
