Senior Advocate Arindam Lodh, who was recently appointed as a judge of High Court of Tripura, will assume charge of his office on Monday. He was administered oath of office by Governor Tathagata Roy at Raj Bhavan yesterday.
Tripura High Court currently comprises of two judges — Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi & Justice Subhashish Talapatra. Now Arindham Lodh will join them as the third judge of High Court.
Lodh was selected by the Government of India in 2011 as senior panel counsellor. The Supreme Court collegium approved his candidature this year. He started his practice as a lawyer in 1988 and has served as government counsel for Railways in 2004. Lodh has also served as Assistant Solicitor General at the High Court of Tripura.
