Hundreds of people today participated in a rally to protest the passage of Citizenship Amendment Bill in Tripura.

GLIMPSES FROM THE RALLY TODAY IN TRIPURA

The rally started off from Baijal Bari ,Khowai at 12 PM. Tripura’s Royal Scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma who has been vocal in voicing his concerns against the Bill personally led the rally today.

Chants of “Poila Jati Ulo Party” reverberated in the state as people stood up against the passage of the Citizenship Bill, the passage of which had caused widespread unrest in the state on January 8 this year.

The indigenous parties have also been portraying resentment against the passage of the Bill and the concerns for Tripura’s indigenous tribe declining further has been haunting the state even more after the Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha earlier this month.
