In a drug bust, one person has been arrested by the police on Wednesday, and seized drugs worth Rs. 80 Lakh at Gobindapur village in North District of Tripura.

North Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhanupada Chakraborty said that based on intelligence inputs regarding the drugs intercepted and arrested one Sufian Ahmed (38) near the Assam-Tripura border.

“Sufian Ahmed was coming from Assam in his bike and after crossing the Assam border he parked his bike somewhere near Gobindapur Village in North Tripura district, while he was coming towards the city in an auto rickshaw we apprehended him and seized 10,000 Yaba Tablets and 30 Grams of Brown Sugar which would be Rs. 80 Lakh”, Chakraborty said.
