AGARTALA, March 27, 2018: Former CPI(M) MLA Rajendra Reang from Kanchanpur, along with 8 other people were injured in an attack allegedly carried out by BJP supporters on the CPI(M) office at Laljhuri in north Tripura Kanchanpur on Sunday.

The condition of Rajendra Reang is stable and is now under treatment in local hospital, but two people were severely injured and were shifted at the district hospital.

“Ten people have been arrested so far based on a complaint by the CPI(M) cadres and investigation is going on and we are also arranging protection for the victims”, said Manik Das, Superintendant of Police, North Tripura.

 CPI(M) has condemned the attack that took place in the state.
