AGARTALA | October 26, 2018:
On Thursday, Tripura health minister Sudip Roybarman said that the condition of the 29 injured Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawans, who narrowly escaped death following a road accident in the Baramura hill range on Monday night, has improved.
The doctors operated on the shoulder and spine of two seriously injured jawans – Remar Darlong and Liyaqat Ali – at a private hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday. The rest are undergoing treatment at Agartala Govt Medical College and are stable.
Besides sponsoring the cost of treatment, the state government has also initiated an inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident, the minister said, adding that appropriate corrective measures would be taken by the state government to prevent such incidents.
