Following the dismal pass percentage of TBSE board results declared yesterday, education minister Ratan Lal Nath today ordered to form an investigation committee to find out the reasons behind low pass percentage rate in TBSE Madhyamik (Secondary Examination) this year.
Tripura Board of Secondary Education yesterday declared their Madhyamik (Secondary Examination) results for 2018 but the pass percentage of TBSE Madhyamik Examinations for 2018 is a mere 59.59% which was 67.38% last year. 35,926 students appeared in the examinations this year out of which 21,408 students passed the examinations.
While speaking to the media Minister Rtan Lal Nath said ” I want that every student who is appearing the examination must pass. I myself am unhappy with the pass percentage of students this year. So, to find out the reasons behind this kind of result, I have ordered to form of the committee. Is it because that there has not been enough studies in the state or is it because of the new syllabus that I can’t say only after 3 months of taking charge as the education minister of state. That is why I have decided to form a committee consisting of prominent teachers of the state to find out the actual reasons behind this kind of result and to submit a detailed report”.
