Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has initiated a process to establish a Technology Innovation Centre (TIC) at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala.
“Discussions have already been initiated with NIT, Agartala on the project”, Dr. PV Vankateshanan , the director of ISRO’s capacity building programme told Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in course of a meeting in the civil secretary.
The ISRO team which will be headed by Dr. Vankateshanan met the Chief Minister and called for the launching programme of TIC at Bangalore which will be held on September. Around 500 Defence and Aerospace companies will remain present at the launching ceremony.
