CITU (Centre of Indian Trade Unions) of Left parties today staged a demonstration against the food and work crisis in Tripura. The demonstration was held at Paradise Chowmuhani. Former Minister Manik Dey, MP Sankar Prasad Datta among others participated in the program.

Addressing the media, MP Sankar Prasad Datta said that there is a major crisis of food and job in Tripura.

“It has already been six months since the incumbent BJP-IPFT government came to power but they are doing nothing.  MGNREGA work has also almost come to a stand still. So we want that government should take some steps and give some work to poor”, Sankar Prasad Datta said.

He further stated that the previous government always provided REGA work on time but this year the present BJP-IPFT government is doing nothing.
