In Tripura, an assistant professor of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) has been suspended on Monday for
posting derogatory comments in social media against the ruling government.

Reportedly, Dr Kaushik Chakraborty was suspended after he posted a derogatory comment on Social media on NRC were believed to have hurt the sentiments of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who also holds the health portfolio.

It is to be mentioned that Dr kaushik Chakraborty had posted disparaging comments and criticised the ideologies and policies of the ruling government which has ultimately called for his suspension.

However, Dr Chakraborty was earlier issued a show-cause notice asking him to justify his post but his response was not satisfactory to the higher authority which resulted in the issue of his suspension.
