AGARTALA | September 17, 2019:

In an incident, a college student was arrested by the state police on Monday evening for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Social Media.

The student has been identified as Vishal Singh studying in a college located in Agartala.

According to sources Singh allegedly used derogatory comments in a post on social media against the CM on the issue of recent hike of fees at the government hospitals across the state.

As soon as the issue came into the notice of the Chief Minister’s office, the entire police admistration was on the task to find out the accused.

The cyber cell of Tripura Police later traced the whereabouts of the accused and later arrested him from his home at Sabroom city. A team of cyber cell will be going to Sabroom today to investigate into the matter.

TNT-The North East Today tried to contact Sabroom Police Station but they refused to provide any details regarding the matter.
